Latest Updates from Our Project:

SG16: Salathiir unlocked!
over 4 years ago – Thu, Apr 23, 2020 at 12:40:32 AM

Today has been amazing! We are aware Kickstarter's reminder for the last 48hrs of the campaign always brings a nice boost to campaigns but this was unexpected! In just some hours you managed to unlock what we thought would be our last and hard-fought stretch goal:

Suffering made flesh. Aurathiir was a benevolent and heroic dragon who suffered an unfortunate fate while crossing a swarm of Salthezau demons in the Plane of Chaos; these tiny six-winged demons can be a nightmare in large numbers. The dragon was reborn into Salathiir, a demonic torment who urges mortals to fill the world with pain and hatred, and he will continue to do so as long as evil lurks in mortal hearts.

Considering the growth rate of the campaign and since it still has more than 40 hrs left, we believe we can still reach one (or even two?) stretch goals for your Core STL Bundle. Next one is Immryg-Umryss!

We took this decision based in the priority results from the current survey. If we are able to reach another stretch goals and the popularity rate remains the same, Golthaarius shall be next!

But don't worry, we will still try to include more content in the Dragon Hunting pack (which will go live along with the pledge manager some weeks after the campaign ends). Let us know what extra content would be important for you to have:

Don't forget to share with us pictures of your painted Dehrilya's bust by tagging us in social media and including a link to the campaign. If you are able to share the campaign in 3D printing or RPG Facebook groups or forums, that would be great and would help us reach the last dragons!

SG14 + SG15: Xavour and Naghi unlocked!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Apr 22, 2020 at 03:30:39 PM

Two more dragons have been unlocked! Totalling 19 dragons included in your STL Bundle!

Yesterday we unlocked Xavour!

The Plague Bringer. The legend of Xavour teaches about humility and arrogance, for he was once a half breed orphan with a different name in an orc tribe. As he grew, he became a caring and dedicated shaman with extraordinary gifts for healing; and a wicked lazy one afterwards. When his powers abandoned him, along with his people, he wandered disgraced, mad and delusional until one night his powers returned with so much hatred and hunger, that it changed him into Xavour, who was determined to seek revenge against his former tribe in the most horrific display of violence.

And just now, we have unlocked Naghi. We plan to make this a dynamic 3D model by including Naghi's astral projection as a separate piece.

The Stone Dragon. Ever since Naghi was wounded by a temperamental basilisk, he has been slowly been transforming into stone. When his mobility was affected, Naghi turned into other type of studies and mastered the power of his mind which allowed the dragon to project his spirit into the Astral plane. Naghi discovered that while wandering in the Astral plane, time would stand still for his body, allowing him to preserve his life over centuries.

Next Stretch Goal

And finally, what might be the last stretch goal after Naghi, was a close competition between Salathiir and Immryg-Umryss. Here are the results:

Salathiir could be the 20th dragon unlocked!

All of the remaining options seem to have nearly the same popularity rate. Specially at the first nomination, with just a few points of difference between them all.

Because of that, and given that we are heading towards the last days of the campaign we are doing something slightly different for the Stretch Goals now.

The response for this project has been a lot more positive than what we thought, we have unlocked nearly 2/3 of the dragons in the book plus some extras. But we are determined to create amazing 3D models for all of them!

But not only that, there's so much great draconic content in this book that we believe your RPG homebrew adventures can enrich with 3D models from it. For the past days we have been trying to provides hints for a new STL pack for this campaign and here's what it was all about:

We are still laying out the details and trying to lock our preferred sculptor for the airship but we want this Dragon Hunting airship to be colossal, with interiors and play levels

Along with that, Jetpack7 has agreed to develop content for the RPG supplement on Dragon Hunting. The book for Legendary Dragons has a chapter for this but it is a topic that could be explored even more in a more focused way. Details for it are still being finalized.

You made this possible! This idea came while the campaign was live, so the addon pricing and final content is not final yet. You will find it once the pledge manager goes live some weeks after the campaign ends. Although it will take a couple of months until the files are finished along with the pending stretch goals.

The cost for this epic STL + RPG pack would be somewhere between $15 or $25 because it may include additional captains, crew members, 2 or 3 play levels for the ship or even the remaining dragons (Golthaarius, Immryg-Umryss, Kur, Vyraetra) and the last creatures in the book (Kobolds, Drake of Displacement, Salathiir's Salthezau demons, Jörmungand's cat form, Xavour's Half-orc form, etc).

So depending on how many copies of this new pack are taken in the pledge manager, the content might be greater. If by any chance we manage to raise a considerable amount of extra funds after Salathiir, these would also be directed to create more content on the Dragon Hunting pack.

But just as all stretch goals in the campaign since it went live, we would love to know your opinion and preference: which from all of the above options would you be most excited for? We will prioritize the most popular choices and the extra funds after Salathiir will be used to expand the content in the Dragon Hunting pack!

We still have time to unlock Dräken! If you have printed your Dehrilya's Bust and haven't shared a pictures with us in social media, please do so! We have some few days left.

We are about half-way there. Your print doesn't have to be painted in order to participate towards the social goal!

Painted submissions will enter into a contest at the end of the campaign. You must share your painted print before this campaign ends!

Finally, we have a very early work-in-progress screenshot for one of the most popular dragons. We can't wait to see how this one progresses! It usually takes us between 3-5 revisions, this one is the first for Kiennavalyriss.

Final days!

Help us spread the word in social media or 3D printing forums! Don't forget to tell that this is the last chance to get all of these models at the Kickstarter discounted price! Let's unlock more Legendary content!

SG13: Balleg unlocked!
over 4 years ago – Sun, Apr 19, 2020 at 06:34:40 PM

We are in the final days of the campaign with more dragons unlocked than what we originally thought we would be able to unlock. Thank you!

The Ravaged Wyrm. There are no specific targets for Balleg's revenge. This dragon has suffered since 'birth' when a necromancer cruelly brought him from the Void from the tiniest pinhole. He was subject of the mage's cruel experiments and used for his magical focus. Upon realizing Balleg would not survive longer, he attempted to revitalize him with complicated necromagic, but as incomprehensible as it was, Balleg became half ethereal and now, his undead self holds a particular hatred for spellcasters, looking to burn them to the ground.

As mentioned before, our friends from Jetpack7 gave us permission to use Balleg's alternate illustration from Masters and Minions so we can make a full-body model with clear understanding of the dragon's anatomy and detail.

Next Stretch Goals

Xavour is next! An imposing plague bringer dragon. Let's unlock him to know more about his unfortunate past.

And then, the winner of last poll:

Since the beginning we have been talking about having this dragon in his petrified form but also a separate piece for his astral projection (with different skin/scale texture) that could be mounted in the petrified body. If we unlock this, we will do our best to achieve this objective and we will love to see how you work on this using transparent material for Naghi's projection.

We have seen recent polls with a short separation between the finalists but this time Naghi was more popular than his contender Golthaarius.

And in the next poll we have another repeating finalist Salathiir (let's see if this time is the charm for Salathiir) and a fairly-new dragon recently introduced to the stretch goals options, Immryg-Umryss. Keep an eye later in the comments section for Backer T Wilson's great analysis on these results!

Vyraetra has also taken popularity, this time beating Golthaarius. Kur seems to be the least popular dragon but we know it is not because of the amazing illustration, but rather because there are already some Black Dragon models and miniatures out there. Let's see if we can still unlock everything!

For the next poll we will bundle Drake of Displacement with the 3 Kobolds as a single stretch goal option, maybe they will be more  appealing this way. You will decide:

We have received only 9 busts so far, but we hope many of you will print her this weekend or post a picture and tag us. Remember you do not have to paint your bust for the social goal, that's only if you wish to enter into the painting contest to win a dice-set.

By sharing a picture of your bust with the link to this campaign and mentioning us, you will help raise awareness for this campaign for others to join and reach more stretch goals in the last days of the Kickstarter campaign!

Work in progress previews

You know we love sharing previews and we are moving as fast as possible to deliver these amazing STL files to you. Balaur, Beast of War is one of the most popular dragons in the campaign so we are having one final round of revision to make it look fantastic! Here's a quick turn around but we will be sharing a larger image once it is completed!

Balaur work in progress by Valerio Carbone.

And we have the finished and approved file of Puggon. This little dragonoid is ready to move to file optimization for 3D printing.

That's everything for today but let's hope that's not everything for the weekend! Please help us by spreading the word about this campaign, sharing our Facebook pinned post, post in forums or Reddit about Legendary Dragons 3D or reaching to a friend with a blog/magazine. Let's have the strongest possible campaign finish race and unlock all dragons in some way or another!

SG12: Ilizinnii unlocked!
over 4 years ago – Sun, Apr 19, 2020 at 06:34:35 PM

Another dragon for your bundle!

The Heart Eater. After a fierce battle with an elven necromancer, Ilizinnii was left blind causing her to retreat in rage to the underground along with her darkness, not before wiping out the necromancer and his tower. Today she is an imposing raging tyrant whose appearance is preceded by death omens. Ilizinnii has developed an extremely acute hearing which allows her to detect objects and movement, even the beating of hearts.

Next Stretch Goals

Next we have Balleg using the reference art from Jetpack7 in Masters and Minions:

And now let's see last poll results:

Xavour is the winner by a wider margin than in previous polls!

And here are the nominated dragons for the next poll:

Vyraetra made it to the semi-finals! This dragon is sometimes referred in-setting as a behemoth behir? With multiple pair of legs and the illustration depicting Vyraetra over a tower, we think this might be a unique model. As usual, you, our dear backers, have the choice for the next stretch goals.

Each time we see a screenshot of the stretch goals progress we get very excited, we want to share the feeling with you of this work in progress:

Umunairu sculpt in progress by Roberto Chaudon.

Don't forget that we still have time to unlock Dräken! 7 pictures of Dehrilya's bust FREE STL file have been shared with us. We still have 1 week to reach this social goal! Now that weekend is coming, we hope to see more pictures of this model!

And finally, if you have 2 seconds to spare, please click on this Kicktraq link and that will help us get some extra exposure by increasing our popularity rate in that site's hot list:

Thanks for your support! Let's keep sharing this project to have the strongest possible finish!

SG11: Xylaarion unlocked!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Apr 15, 2020 at 05:52:07 PM

The Shackled Queen has been unleashed!

The Shackled Queen was once so powerful that even the titans worshiped her. Until they didn't, but being indestructible as Xylaarion is, the titans had to imprison her in magical shackles and an unbreakable collar that would render her speechless. The name of the Godmother of all evil was erased from history so no one could ever remember her, find her or, least of all, unchain her along with doom and destruction.

Next Stretch Goals

We already now Ilizinnii is next and hopefully we unlock this stretch goal within the next 48 hrs.

Now that there are very few dragons left, the poll results are very tight:

Balleg is our next stretch goal! We will be using the art from Masters and Minions (also by Jetpack7) for this new model.

And here are the results for the nominations:

Click to vote!

Another simple way you can help us a lot and spread the word about this project (and reach more stretch goals) is by clicking in the following image. Just clicking will help us get visibility in the "Hot List" for new potential backers, but if you can also use any of the share tools, that would also increase our popularity rate:

We really want to offer a fast fulfillment so you can start printing your files as early as possible. Each unlocked model adds extra time for this project but we are already working on the new sculpts to reach our desired fulfillment dates. Here are some previews. Please consider that all of these are Work-in-progress screenshots still in Revisions phase.

First we have Umunairu's head. Feathers and tongue will be inflated to achieve the desired thickness for 3D printing.

Then we have one of the most popular, Balaur! Some corrections in the pose were already made and we are heading into the detailing phase to add extra armor, scars, leather and the like.

Balaur sculpted by Valerio Korax.

Finally we have a cute dragonoid which is loved by many and not so much popular for others: Puggon! We think it is a unique concept within the Legendary Dragons book by Jetpack7.

Puggon sculpted by Goh.

Fun fact about Puggon: In the first Legendary Dragons 5th edition supplement campaign by Jetpack7, Puggon started as a joke by backers in their Discord server. Jetpack7 decided to include it and it was very popular among the backers.

That's something great about Kickstarters, being able to connect with passionate backers who can get involved in the development of the project and see some "behind the scenes" work plus the possibility of expanding the content in the product.

We are enjoying very much having you all being in charge of deciding which Legendary Dragon should be sculpted next!
